Design and construction of a four storey education precinct for the Sydney Catholic Schools. The majority of the structure is concrete framed using a post tension system. The project involves various forms of cladding and masonry including glazed bricks, curtain glass walls, mod-wood cladding, aluminium composite cladding, expressed steel along with many other finishes.
The project includes a large 1500m2 rooftop courtyard play area with an impressive labyrinth which was created using ceramic tiles. Special attention to detail was required on the waterproofing systems on the project to both the roof as well as external walls which in some areas sit two storeys underground. The project also features a large commercial kitchen, basketball court and fitness room, six new general learning areas, and a large stagefor assemblies and performances.
